It's funny but "my" 'subconscious' had this thought, when I got myself the freeze-fix:
doesn't the sim loose some grip input as you "hover" across the "skipped data"..? (erm... I can't express what I mean)
Anyways, let's have an eye on this but I wouldn't be surprised if that was the reason.....

you know it's funny but some grey cells (wow.. ) seem to recall something that this grip dependency was the reason, why nobody did this fix sooner.....

let's see it it will turn true.....

well, you have to know, that Papyrus had a lot of workarounds and trickery..! so I wouldn't be surprised....

Fabian, I don`t know if the Track Gap Freeze Fix Patch can have any influence on braking.

unexpected could keep up here with Paul, Pedro, Pavel, Lasse.

Lost ist in the first corner and did even worse when trying to catch the spin, Lasse could not avoid.

At the point of the collision I just thought "come on, it's the season final, I'm gonna try to flip him around, it has worked before with other mods"...
My car was absolutely fine after hitting you when you spun, but then netcode decided to turn a collision at 10 kph into an explosion. Not your fault, mistakes happen, and it was my decision and therefore my risk to try and get you back into the race.
