Apologies to Pedro for the Lap01 contact at Annie Bousquet. I interpreted your backing out of the throttle early there as an invitation to pass.
Apologies accepted Doni.
I am not sure what the REKO will decide about us.
- You unsafe driving? jumping in a gap? (eager driving, but thats racing)
- Or me turning in while someone is next to me? (safe driving and creating opportunities for others to pass)

I was looking forward to have a fun race with a pack of racers.
Therefore I started in a safe pace and keeping distance, and my fault to think everyone behind mee would do that to.
Because I didn't want to loose the draft of the pack ending up with a lonely race.
I did not see you Doni and I didn't expected you there because it's a impossible place to pass i.m.h.o., thats my bad.

We had some good fun after that, no? :)
To be honest, looking back it was a great battle, like I wanted (Fun). But at that moment I was to busy figuring out what went wrong.
Therefore I made many mistakes not being concentrating on racing.
Happy though the engine made it to the finish.

Interesting was the difference in wing usage.
No wing seems to me the best option for next year ;)

Thanks admins, staff and drivers.
Sorry REKO.

Cu next race.

Doni, I feel sorry for the clash. I knew I stuck to my side of the road, so I wasn't shaken seeing you wrecking in the mirrors. Now I watched the replay and in deed it was just one of those GPL's crazy collision-detections...
See it as Karma for the collision with Pedro... :icon-wink:

I seemed to remember that the last time I raced on this track with the 69s (not 69X), I was the only one using no wings and I lost out. So I decided to go with some wing this time - and the tables have turned and I lost out again... :-D
well, I had a hunch that I was going with too much wing but that's the downside when you're saving the time to practice and just show up on the racetrack with only <30 minutes of testing (especially on "tracks with special needs" like Reims).
The scary thing is: I have a hunch that I would have been too slow even with less or zero wings. It's just too much inertia to have to overcome with this car....!

grats podium

Not to worry, Fabian. I was enjoying our joust. Too bad that it ended a little earlier than I would have liked. I suspect that you are surprised at the pace of the BT24. While it's a little shy on braking power, it has splendid top end. With a tow, I saw 205 mph. :)
