Now I create our GPLRACER race videos like this:
- I capture with OBS Studio (freeware) using GPL replaydirector_savedReplays (activated in GEM+). OBS Studio saves as an MKV video file to my hard drive.
- Then I cut the MKV file with Avidemux (freeware).
- Then I open CyberLink PowerDirector (payware) to edit and create the video. I add a headline and the GEM+ track picture at the beginning and the training and race results of GPL Replay Analyser at the end of the video. Then I let PowerDirector save the finished video as MKV file to my hard drive.
- Upload to YouTube. Finished. :)

Maybe this helps that other leagues also show their races. ;)

Thanks Stefan.
This is better than saving replays to HD

You are welcome.

I also think it is a nice way to review a race. And you don`t need the replay and to start GPL. :)

Thanks Stefan.
The camera man at the top of the hill was kept busy :)

Is there any way to get rid of the jerky capture ?
My replays run smooth.

I have already spent hours trying to finally get rid of the jerkiness in the replays on the new PC, also with the help of GPLaps (Jake), but success is still limited.

At the Spa67 video
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LAo-SGT5LLc
I had activated the "booster" function in the BIOS (it's called something else, but I can't think of the name right now ;) ), which means that all 12 cores are always clocked at the same high speed. Without this "booster", the speed of the cores changes constantly. I have made screenshots of the monitored graph of the progress curves with and without the "booster", but I am not at the race PC at the moment. I will post them tonight.
But as you can see in the Spa69 video, there are still jerks, even though all 12 cores run at the same speed.

However, I find that the Spa67 video has slightly less judder than the Roswell and the Interlagos 1971 (interlag) video, both of which were made with the default bios settings, i.e. variable core speeds.

I have also tried various video capturing programmes as well as editing and production programmes. But the judder is already there when I play the replay in GPL. So the problem is already at the beginning and then only continues during editing.

Unfortunately, I'm running out of ideas as to what the problem could be.

How does Jake get his videos to look smooth ?
Is he using a different program ?

But anyway, thanks for the videos :)

He uses a different program to edit and produce the videos. But that is not important.
For capturing he is also using OBS Studio (freeware). Thanks to Jake I am now using also his settings for OBS.

But I do not think that the jerky capture is related to a capturing program or to a editing and production software.
To me the problem is already that the replays in GPL look jerky.
I will have a look into it again this weekend. It has to be possible. At least I know the new PC is for sure not to weak for capturing. :D
