Well done Stefan and Anders.
Sorry to those that DNF.

Starting from the back row I just wanted to keep out of trouble and finish the race but I was surprised to see so many cars at the side of the road in the first few laps moving me up the order.

Marcel and I had some fun along Mulsanne but later he got stuck in the sand at a slow corner.
Roman caught me in the last few laps. It was fun trading places until he lost it at Maison Blanche giving me an easy ride to the flag.

Nice grid - after all 12 drivers and who has said LeMans is boring with runing such a distance - we have had five leaders - maybe one more ;) if I didn‘t have had that bloddy freeze (think it was my old pc) - would had like to to fight the incredibly fast MK1 ;)

Congrats Stefan for winning the race and Anders and Paul for podium.

It was fun to drive around Le Mans with the latest updates in the Mirage M1. One of the best looking liveries.
Also the "battle" with Paul made it enjoyable. The Mirage has a higher topspeed but is slower in the corners then the Ferrari.
From practice, I knew that the two slow corners with sandbanks on the outside should be taken carefully.
Driving around the sandbank, if you missed the corner, did not work.
One wheel on the banking and the cars gets pulled onto it with the wheels free and you can't move anymore.
And that is what happened to me on lap 8. Slow speed, steering wheel full lock but still stranded up the dune.
The only thing still strugling with is the braking, can't lockup the tyres from the Mirage.
I don't know if my braking is at full power because the tyres are not squeeking.
Some tweaking with the brake balance, further to the front, did not solve it.

Marcel with well know these cars weigh a lot on the rear
and slow down a little.
For example, I put the brakes at maximum 52% on the front.
If I use more than 52 I don't turn and go straight.

How do you regulate braking with GT?

Hi Piero,

Most cars at 56%, heavier GT at 58%. New test showed lockup front at 60%, so for me 58% would be good.
Also tried 54% but that makes the car uncontrollable in the braking zone, at least with my setup.
Next time, I will try to brake harder, push the pedal harder. It is a loadcell brake pedal.
I used to be very gentle on the brakes with my standard DFGT pedals, but had less feeling.

Hi Marcel,
I imagine that with the load cell you have to do more pressure than I am used to, I push down on the pedal all the way down in the big brakes and avoid blocking the wheels using the accelerator. As already mentioned, other times my advice is related to the Trail Bracking technique and the use of the differential locked during braking.
Perhaps with your configuration it is more difficult. :think:
